This 5513 No Date Submariner showcases an all-original gloss gilt dial with striking banana yellow hour markers. These early black-dialed Rolex watches are highly sought after by collectors for their gilt dials, which feature a glossy, mirror-like finish. The text and outer minute markers are a rich gold hue—hence the term gilt.
This particular piece is known as the “Bart Simpson” variant, named for the unique spikes of the Rolex coronet, which resemble Bart's iconic hairdo.
The case remains robust, with strong, even lugs and crown guards. The bezel insert has aged to an anthracite colour, adding a killer touch to this classy vintage No Date Sub. The rivet link Oyster bracelet, reference 7206, is in excellent condition with minimal stretch, featuring a clasp stamped ‘3 66’ and 80 end links. The watch has been fully checked and regulated by our watchmaker.
